We are running 3 x Lunchtime ‘HOMECOMING’ Short Film Screenings + Q&A Sessions with Transgender Filmmaker Grae Meek in association with Christchurch Pride Month and Ara Institute of Canterbury!

Watch the film, go behind the scenes and hear Writer/Director Grae Meek speak on the making of this internationally award-winning film made in Ōtautahi Christchurch – one of the first transgender writer/director projects funded by the New Zealand Film Commission.

ABOUT ‘HOMECOMING’:
“We have a lot to talk about: – A transgender woman returns home to come out to her parents. But the dinner spirals as her anxieties manifest in dark, sinister ways.

An award-winning short film by transgender filmmaker Grae Meek, Produced by Anna Canton for Annakey Productions, made in Ōtautahi Christchurch, NZ. and has played in international film festivals in New Zealand, United Kingdom, Australia and India.

This short film was funded by the New Zealand Film Commission, Ara Foundation, Pan-Asian Screen Collective and Boosted Donors.
