Dr. Sketchy’s: Friends of Dorothy

We’re back! After being a bit in-Kansas-tent, we’re ready to put up the (Judy) Garlands for CHRISTCHURCH PRIDE 2022.
Dr. Sketchy’s is a night of life drawing with a twist. Where good bitches can draw wicked pictures. With colourful models, magical performances, and fantastical prizes… there’s no place like Sketchy’s!
We’re wickedly excited to announce that we will have two models to inspire us – Amy Leigh and Josh Hart from Mystical Jinx. They’ll pose, and you can draw, as they take us on a journey somewhere over the big gay rainbow.
Qtopia are hosting a Pride Market alongside our event. Have a wander around the gallery foyer to discover crafts, and artworks, and clothes! Oh my!
Your sketchy hosts are Tawdry Trainwreck, Rosie Reckless and Mythical Haze. Not only do they have courage, brains, and heart, they also have sparkly shuz.
Don’t worry if your drawing skills are a bit rusty (looking at you, Tinman!). There are no art skills required, just come along and have a doodle. Drawing materials are supplied but you are welcome to bring your own spectrum of colours if you prefer.
Costumes encouraged!
