We’re super excited to share this event with you. Here’s what to expect:
Arrive and get comfortable:
Doors open 6.25pm. Our friendly host will welcome you and check you in. We’ll give you a number, and invite you in to enjoy some free drinks and nibbles. Mingle, or relax by yourself for a short time before the event begins.
Speed Dating:
This event starts with a short mindfulness meditation to set the mood for the evening, then moves into a series of 5-minute conversations with each date! You’ll be given a scorecard, as well as a notepad and pen to take note of who you want to see again.
Each table is equipped with a set of thought-provoking cue cards, designed to ignite deeper conversations and a few laughs along the way. So, if conversation stalls or you just want to mix it up with a new topic, simply draw a card to get things moving smoothly again!
Throughout the night, there will be breaks to grab more food, drinks, and chat more with anyone you’re interested in!
At the end of the night, hand us your scorecard. This serves as a physical backup in case your notes are misplaced. The following day, we’ll email you a quick questionnaire where you will confirm your details, decide how you want to be contacted, and fill out who you want to see again.
We’ll then be in touch to let you know your mutual matches!

We’ve chosen a smaller, more intimate venue for this event, so there are limited tickets. We usually sell out our events 1 week in advance, so please purchase your ticket soon to avoid disappointment! Amigo cafe is located in the Colombo mall, Christchurch
Ticket Price: $52 – includes entry to the event, nibbles, a complimentary non-alcoholic drink on arrival, and a night full of laughter and connections.
