NZAF Gay Men’s Health Forum

Join your wonderful host Peter Ford from NZAF for a fun and informative evening to discuss health-related issues that affect gay, bi and other men who have sex with men.
Kai (nibbles) and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided – a full bar is available if guys wish to purchase an alcoholic drink.
There will be several speakers covering areas related to Love, Sex and Drugs.
We have great giveaway prizes to be in to win on the night.
Speakers include:
Akira Le Fevre: Canterbury DHB Workforce Development Partner – Equity and Diversity. Akira will talk about his work and how it relates to the local LGBTQI+ community.
Alex Anderson: NZAF Service and Outreach Manager. Alex will discuss the direction and future of the organisation.
Ben Birks Ang: Deputy Executive Director – Programmes at New Zealand Drug Foundation. Ben is going to talk about commonly used drugs in the Gay community and safer drug use.
Dr Edward Coughlan: Clinical Director and Sexual Health physician at Christchurch Sexual Health. Ed will update us on Sexual Transmitted Infections within the Canterbury Region, he will talk about PrEP as an HIV prevention method. Ed is also keen to discuss an STI app in development and seek feedback from local guys.
Vic Riddiford: NZAF Counsellor. Vic will be discussing Developing Conscious Connections a free 6-week programme for gay, bi and other men who have sex with men (trans and cis) on gaining tools to better understand yourself, develop confidence and flexibility, and help you live with authenticity.
This is a free event.
Located upstairs at the Pegasus Arms.
Free STI Testing will be available.
