We’re coming back with even more sapphic sparkle! After the overwhelming love and energy at our first pop-up, Sapphic Sounds is beyond excited to return to the Garden City. This time, we’re taking things up a notch with another night of music, connection, and sapphic celebration.
✨ Our Kaupapa
Sapphic Sounds creates joyful, inclusive spaces designed by queers for queers. Our events welcome anyone who resonates with the term and celebrates a wide variety of gender and sexual expressions. It’s all about good vibes, shared energy, and finding your people.
When attending a Sapphic event, we ask that you respect and celebrate the diversity of our Sapphics and embrace the uniqueness of all individuals. Absolutely everyone is welcome to a safe, inclusive environment. Allies are welcome, however we please ask you to be mindful of the space we have created.

8:00–10:00 PM — Part 1: Connection
Ease into the night with a drink and a yarn. This early window is designed for building sapphic connection—come solo or with friends and enjoy a more relaxed vibe before the dancefloor takes over.
We’ll kick off the Sapphic Search Game—our signature human bingo icebreaker. It’s playful, social, and the perfect way to meet someone new (or find your next dance partner). Expect laughs, fun prompts, and flirty surprises.
10:00 PM–1:00 AM — Part 2: Dance Party
At 10, the lights go low and the beats come up. Our DJs will be serving high-energy tunes and dancefloor bangers all night long. Expect a mix of racks that keep the floor moving and the vibes immaculate. Whether you’re dancing with your besties or vibing out with someone new, this is your time to let go.

Drinks + Vibes
To keep things flowing, we’re serving up:
Sapphic Signature Cocktails – $18 each (Masc-ow Mule or Lespresso Martini)
House drinks (beer, wine, and spirits) – $10 all night
A full menu of tasty treats will be available for all your pre- or post-dance cravings.
The Venue
The Retropolitan is back as our sapphic dreamland. With its retro charm, cozy booths, love seats, bar learners, and starry balcony, this whimsical space sets the perfect stage for a night of sapphic joy, connection, and release.
