
Join us for crafts and chill vibes. Feel free to bring your own project, or just bring yourself! We’ll have supplies for you to make your own badges and zines, plus coloring books and other basic art supplies for you to get creative with. We’re keeping it low-sensory, with soft background music and quiet conversations.
Our first event on the 14th is just for our trans whānau – any 16+ transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming folks are welcome! Bring a supportive ally if you’d like, but keep in mind that we’re centering trans folks at this event.
Our second event on the 21st is open to our wider rainbow community – any and all 16+ are welcome to join!

Our Youth Librarians are here to chat too! Whether you need an extra player for Catan, book recommendations, or want to explore Tūranga’s technology offerings, the Youth Librarians are available to make the Youth Space your space.

This workshop series is a non-judgmental safe space for the rainbow community to learn useful life skills.
WORKSHOP ONE:
How the f*ck do cars work?!
Join us at Climate Action Campus for a friendly workshop covering how cars work, how to maintain them with a Q&A and hands on demonstrations!
We will have tutors from the rainbow community who are skilled in the car world to teach you all the basics about how cars work, how best to maintain them and answer any questions you have.
What to expect:
A classroom workshop covering the basics of how a car works, what those buttons mean and when (and when not) to use your handbrake!
A hands-on demonstration in which you will learn how to check oil, water and other bits
An opportunity to ask our friendly tutors anything you like! (No such thing as a silly question!)
What to bring:

Once you’ve had your delightful fill of High Tea, you might try your hand at some lawn games, or wander the gardens.
Wear some of your Floral-Themed best to capture you and your companions in front of our Portrait Frame for a photo op, and the chance to win a spot prize on the day.
