Kia Ora!
As part of the Ōtautahi Pride 2026, our Rainbow Families meetup will be joining forces with Christchurch Pride and attending the Closing Picnic!
We will have some activities for the tamariki and a shady area to sit down and have some kōrero and fun together.
The playground won’t be far, and if it’s warm enough we might even get the last of the paddling pool season!
Please bring your picnic blanket and kai, all your whānau and don’t forget your hats and sunscreen!
Whether you are a rainbow whānau group regular, or you’ve never heard from us, come and join us! We look forward to meeting you all!

As part of our 3 part series “circus nights” for the first 3 Fridays of March. We strive to give opportunities to emerging circus performers that haven’t yet broken out into the professional performing space yet. The event is run at Altiora in the arts centre and is a “dinner and a show” vibe. Bring in food from the arts centre food trucks, enjoy the bar while acrobats serve you drinks, view stunning roving performances pre show and during intermission. The show itself will be stunning and electrifying emerging circus performers. On our last night we’d love to support pride month and support performers a part of the LGBTQ+ community while encouraging audience members to dress up in pride colours, making the evening a fun, positive and inclusive show!

Reclaiming the Body: Queer Spirituality & Embodied Wellbeing
Many people across the LGBTQIA+ community have experienced the body as a site of regulation, shame, or disconnection. This workshop offers a space to question those inherited narratives and reconnect with the body on our own terms.
Together, we’ll explore how spirituality and wellbeing can support presence, sovereignty, and belonging — not as tools for self-improvement, but as personal and collective practices that help us feel safer, more connected, and more present in our bodies.
The gathering will combine a short talk with a gentle, guided embodied practice designed to support grounding, integration, and a deeper sense of being at home in yourself.
Attendance is limited to 25 people, please register with your Name and Phone Number by emailing Wellness Nomadz at wellnessnomadz@transcendya.com
