Dr. Sketchy’s is a dark knight of life drawing and mysterious cape-rs.
For Christchurch Pride 2024, we’re sharpening our claws, grabbing our bazookas, and heading down a dark alley… to arrive safely at Christchurch Art Gallery… where we’ll draw some real batty characters.
Gotham city’s bad grrrls are here to smash things up. Angelah Rose brings her vivacious energy as Harley Quinn, and Hermaphroditéé saunters onto the stage as Catwoman. These baddies are here for a good time! They’ll purr and pose, and we’ll drink and draw.
The Sketchy fiends – Tawdry Trainwreck, Rosie Reckless and Mythical Haze – will be on hand to arkham you up, with pose suggestions, prizes, and prancing about.
Do not be afraid if think your drawings are a load of Cobblepot, all artistic abilities are welcome! Drawing materials supplied, but you’re welcome to bring your own utility belt of art supplies.
We invite you to dress to theme, as a character of Gotham city and/or in a way to celebrate Pride.
Free entry and open to all ages (parental guidance recommended as our batty jokes will put the ham in Gotham).
